Artist Statement
The artist presents her metaphorical vision of life: shadows and masks that conceal and reveal the emotional complexities of human existence, unfolding within a pop universe of vibrant colors; however, the density or presence of texts and symbols suggests that a parallel analysis is possible.
The techniques used (acrylic, transfers, prints) connect with a visual narrative that seeks to highlight or suggest a contrast between a perfect, dazzling appearance and the overwhelming presence of objects and information that weigh down our daily existence.
